Diseases Dangerous to Children


 Since my child exposed to smallpox in the past week, I started to correct any immunization I have ever done to my child at the child. Immunization is an effort to provide protection (immunity) to the child's body. Immunization can be given to all people, especially infants and children from birth yag serves to protect the child's body from a dangerous disease.

Hence my post lately more attention to the health articles. And I was searching on the internet turns deadly disease in infants there are some diseases and need to be aware of include:

1. Tuberculosis (TB)
Infectious disease that attacks the lungs is caused by Mycrobacterium Tuberculosis. Transmission: Through saliva (sputum). Symptoms: Shortness of breath, body temperature often rises, and developmental abnormalities. Prevention: BCG immunization when infants aged 0 to 14 months. These diseases are the number one disease affecting children.

2. Diphtheria-pertussis-tetanus (DPT)
Strep throat diseases caused by germs Corybacterium Diphteriae. Transmission: Through saliva and personal equipment sufferers. Symptoms: Early symptoms of increased body temperature between 37.8 to 38.9 degrees Celsius, sometimes accompanied by cough, runny nose, sore throat and mild. The disease is ranked as the two malignancies in children.

3. Poliomyelitis (Polio)
Inflammatory disease that attacks the nerve is caused by the polio virus. Transmission: Water saliva, food and drinks contaminated with the patient. Symptoms: Mild fever, headache for several days, if the situation deteriorates will be accompanied by muscle aches and stiff neck. Prevention: Polio Vaccine Immunization 2 drops for 5 consecutive times at age 2 months, 3 months, 4 months, 2 years and 5 years. Diseases such as tuberculosis and DPT was ranked the number to three dangerous diseases in children.

4. Mumps (Mumps)
Infectious disease caused by the virus paramyxovirus. Symptoms: Decreased appetite, fatigue, malaise, headache, fever and pain in the muscles. Transmission: Water patient saliva, respiratory, direct contact with patients, patients with contaminated utensils. Prevention: Immunizations of MMR vaccine at age 12-13 months and repeated at the age of 11-12 years. Mumps ranks and rank fourth dangerous disease in children.

So in conclusion, I recommend to protect children and prevent against infectious diseases that are harmful to children, give immunizations since childhood.
