Charity Games - The charity operated by the creators of the webcomic Penny Arcade.

Since gamers are among the most awesome people on Earth, it should surprise no one that their capacity to help their fellow human beings is just as boundless as their ability on the virtual battlefield. Tons of marathon events, charity fundraisers, and benevolent organizations bring gamers together to work toward a myriad of noble causes and none is more famous than Child's Play, the charity operated by the creators of the webcomic Penny Arcade. Child's Play connects children receiving treatment at hospitals around the world with games and toys to entertain, inspire, and comfort them during their struggles. It's the perfect way for gamers to give back and keep hope alive by sharing their passion with others.

Child's Play has raised over $9 million since its founding in 2003, and now it's gearing up for its biggest year ever. The official annual goal is $2 million, and the charity's organizers have just kicked off the season by announcing a bevy of upcoming events and ways to get involved. The annual Desert Bus For Hope is rolling out this month, right on schedule, while a Charity Dinner and Auction is scheduled for December up in Seattle. In addition to these official events, gamers everywhere are banding together for their own charity throwdowns.
